Teacher/Staff Bios

Claudia Schlott has been teaching for 13 years. She graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Education and a minor in Bilingual Education and holds a Level II Professional K-8 Elementary Licence. She began her career in Dual Language by teaching 6th grade in Clovis Municipal Schools where she also taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. After teaching in Clovis for eight years she came home to Portales Municipal Schools to teach at Lindsey Steiner Elementary where she has been part of the Dual Language team for the last five years. At LSE she began teaching 6th grade Science and has concurrently taught 5th and 6th grade Social Studies as well as 6th grade Math. At the present time, she is teaching 6th grade Dual Language Math and Social Studies.
