Teacher/Staff Bios

Christine Blaeser is in her 38th year of teaching!!!  She received her Bachelor's Degree from NMSU where she played collegiate volleyball and tennis.  She also was a Crimson Scholar and was recognized in the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges because of her academic achievements. She was also awarded the Scholar Athlete of the Year and selected for the All Academic team.  Her first job out of college was teaching and coaching at Hobbs High School.  She coached junior varsity volleyball and varsity tennis for four years along with teaching Physical Education.  While teaching and coaching at Hobbs High School, Christine earned her Masters Degree in Educational Administration from ENMU.  Upon graduation from the masters program, she started a new job teaching in the Health and Physical Education department and coaching tennis for ENMU.  While coaching at ENMU, Christine was awarded the Regional Division II Coach of the year and led the team to the national Sweet 16 Championships.  After serving in this position for 18 years, Christine was hired to teach in the Portales Municipal School District.  She has been teaching Physical Education in the district for 15 years.
