Teacher/Staff Bios

Mrs. Cheri Jackson, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Special Education Department. She

has a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Mrs. Jackson has been a

social worker at Lindsey Steiner for 14 years. She also works at Portales Junior High School. As a school

social worker, Mrs. Jackson is responsible for supporting special education students and advocating for

their emotional and mental wellbeing. She helps students learn social skills, as well as strategies for

conflict resolution and anger management. In addition, she teaches strategies to students to help them

improve their academic performance. Mrs. Jackson also meets with students for crisis intervention. She

strives to make a difference in students’ lives each day.
