Teacher/Staff Bios

Veronica Ontiveros is in her 17th year in education.  She started her career teaching 7th grade English at Marshall Middle School in Clovis, New Mexico.  She then spent 3 years teaching 8th grade mathematics at Portales Junior High School.  Veronica then taught 8th grade English for 7 years. Veronica took on a leadership role and decided to be a Literacy Coach servicing grades 7-12 for 3 years before moving to Lindsey-Steiner Elementary where she continues to be an Assistant Principal going on her 3rd year.  Veronica has her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Education from Eastern New Mexico University. Veronica participated in NISL, the National Institute for School Leadership.
