Teacher/Staff Bios

Gary A. Riedel is in his 17th year in education.  He spent 3 years as a paraprofessional at Valencia Elementary before moving to a teaching position at Lindsey-Steiner.  He is currently in his 14 th year as the level-4 special education teacher at LSE.  Gary has a Liberal Arts Degree from Clovis Community College, Bachler’s Degree in Science from Eastern New Mexico University, and a Master's Degree in Education from Eastern New Mexico University. Gary currently holds a Level Three-A, Instructional Leader K-8 Elementary License with Endorsement in TESOL, and a Level Three-A Instructional Leader Pre K-12 Special Education License with Endorsement in TESOL. Gary is also a 26-year Veteran of the United States Air Force. Portales Schools is truly blessed to have Gary on staff in the best school district in the state of New Mexico.
