SRE away Travel prep
You are going to an SRE Away from PSU!! Here's what you need to prepare and some pre-departure logistics for your trip
Pre-Departure Checklist **More added to this soon!**
Accept your SRE from the institution where you have applied (usually programs require email communication to accept or sign paperwork).
Communicate to Becky Miller the SRE you have chosen and what if any communication from the URISE program that the prospective SRE needs.
Reach out to our CIMR Travel Coordinator, Sarah Taylor (sbt@pdx.edu); book flights and complete Travel Authorization with Sarah.
Communicate with the away program your flight information, travel dates, and pick/up or transfer from
Watch for your travel per diem funds to come through.
Check-in 24 hours early for your flight via the airline app.
SRE LOGISTICS
The first steps to getting ready to leave for your SRE are:
Meet with Becky Miller ASAP. Email ramiller@pdx.edu with 3-4 meeting times that work for your schedule. Bring the following to our meeting:
Spring 2024 class list
SRE program information, including the URL for the program, and contact information for the person who coordinates logistics at the SRE
Program Dates
AFTER we meet, then:
Review travel procedures, email exitooperations@pdx.edu with any questions.
Meet with Sarah Taylor (sbt@pdx.edu) to begin coordinating travel
If your SRE begins before the end of spring term, contact your Spring term instructors to let them know you will need their help and flexibility. We are working on a letter that you can provide to your instructors.
