Conferences

Trainees have up to $1,000 per year in travel funding to attend national or local scientific conferences.

Students are encouraged to attend a scientific conference with their Research Mentor to present research findings from their first year in URISE.

Please complete as soon as you can but no later than the deadlines below.

Step 1

Please review ALL of the content on the BUILD EXITO Logistics Google Site on the Conferences page. Start with the presentations under the "Resources" Header. Please note that the language on the Conferences page refers only to BUILD EXITO, however this page fully applies to URISE.  

Step 2

After watching those videos AND eight weeks prior to travel, please fill out the Conference Funds Request Form. Please note that you must be registered full time during the term in which you will travel. 

Step 3

Four weeks prior to travel, schedule a meeting with Cassandra per the Travel Process timeline.

Posters

You can use your conference funds to printer posters for conferences. If you want URISE to pay for the poster* we will be using PSU's Wide Formatting Printing.

If you want URISE to pay for the poster, you must complete this form 7 days before you need the poster/travel.
