Things to Consider:
How might you understand how you bring your own identity when recognizing and responding to social emotional well-being?
How might you create opportunities where everyone feels they have a voice?
How might you understand how check-ins might be triggering or oppressive to some students?
How might you validate all emotions to ensure everyone feel seen and heard?
How might you use this data to inform actions and change practice?
How might you explicitly teach vocabulary and strategies to identify and understand emotions?

Strategies for Collecting Data:
(thinking about street data)
Check-ins: share an emoji, GIF, drawing, 2 word check in, etc. to describe how you are feeling right now
Student Conference: Individual student check in at multiple points throughout the day
Small Group Check ins: Small groups of students meet to support each other and to build positive connection
Surveys: Anonymous and/or private check ins to guage whole group or individual well-being
