- Details Dump: Before learning a new concept, students work in small groups to brainstorm, within a specific timeframe, everything they know about this concept
- Tweet it: Using a 280 character limit, ask students to write the main ideas of the lesson. This can promote class or small group discussions and check for understanding
- Love, Love Not: Ask students to share one part of yesterdays lesson that they connected with and one part that was not helpful. This is good feedback for educators about how their students are learning
- A Picture is Worth: Display an image and ask students how it connects to the learning goals
- 20 Questions: Students create their own 20 questions game based on course content to deepen concepts and review material
- What if.... : Ask students to brainstorm a 'What if' about content. Generate as many possibilities as possible. Explore these possibilities to promote creative and critical thinking
- One Thing: What was a takeaway for you from this lesson? Use it as an activator to begin the next lesson
