We are delighted to announce that Onslow St Audrey's School has been selected to take part in a two-year whole-school anti-bullying pilot programme for secondary schools, United Against
Bullying Plus (UAB+), delivered by the Anti-Bullying Alliance in partnership with Kidscape.
As a UAB+ school, we have access to:
an anti-bullying expert from the Anti-Bullying Alliance assigned to the school for two
years to provide tailored support;
a range of anti-bullying CPD training courses for all school staff;
anti-bullying workshops for Year 8 pupils;
supportive workshop for any pupils identified as experiencing bullying, including a
workshop for parents/carers; and
a package of support to work with those displaying bullying behaviour.
Onslow St Audrey's School is one of only 18 schools on this pilot programme, and we will be supported to develop an innovative whole-school approach to reducing bullying and effectively support children most at risk of perpetrating, and experiencing, bullying. While it focuses on the
current Year 8 group for all schools involved on the programme, the bespoke nature of
UAB+ will benefit the entire school.
The application process to the programme required demonstrating our commitment to
support our pupils’ well-being, and we are excited to have been selected!
