A safe space to come and talk/regroup
Earlier this year we launched our Wellbeing Room. On entry, students are welcomed with tranquil spa music and a warm greeting from Mrs McIntyre and/or Mrs Constantinou. The room is flooded with natural light and has tall sofas that allow some privacy if students need time to reflect alone.
The room is a safe space for students to talk openly about concerns, discuss support and enjoy a calm atmosphere. We have seen great engagement with the room so far and are pleased to be able to accommodate students in need.
Mrs McIntyre is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and a Mental Health First Aider for Onslow St Audrey's. Mrs Constantinou works alongside as our Pastoral Co-Ordinator so both members of staff are well placed to support our students.
