We are delighted to share some heartwarming news about our incredible students in Years 7-11 who recently took part in a litter pick in our local community of Hatfield (Clean up HAtfield). Their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact have truly shone through, and we couldn't be prouder of their collective efforts.
On Monday 20 November to Thursday 23 November, groups of students, accompanied by Mr S Millar and Alistair B (Year 10) as well as some devoted teachers, took to the streets of Hatfield armed with gloves, bags, and a shared determination to make a difference. The litter pick was not just an opportunity to clean up our town but a powerful expression of our school's values of community engagement and responsible citizenship.
The students displayed remarkable teamwork as they worked together to clean up streets, and public spaces. Their positive energy was contagious, inspiring not only their peers but also passersby who witnessed their efforts. The sense of pride and accomplishment on the faces of our students was truly heartening.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the students who participated in the litter pick. Your willingness to give back to the community reflects a deep understanding of the importance of environmental stewardship and community responsibility. By volunteering your time and effort, you have set an inspiring example for your peers and the broader community.
We also want to acknowledge the dedication of Alistair and our teachers who supported and guided the students throughout the litter pick. Your commitment to fostering a sense of civic duty and community engagement is instrumental in shaping the character of our students.
As a school, we believe in the power of education not only within the classroom but also in the wider world. The litter pick initiative exemplifies the positive impact that students can have when they come together for a common cause.
Once again, congratulations to our fantastic students in Years 7-11 for their outstanding efforts in making Hatfield a cleaner and more beautiful place for everyone. Your commitment to community service does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud to have you as part of the OSA family.
Thank you for being shining examples of compassion, responsibility, and positive change.
