Introduction

In this lesson, you will try to apply what you have learnt in the last few lessons to decide how many counters of each colour you think are in the pot?

Take a look at this Pick from the Pot activity on Transum.

The pot contains 10 counters which are being randomly removed and replaced.

How many of each colour do you think are in the pot?

How confident are you? How can you be more confident?

Hints:

• Think about how you may record your findings. A tally? A table? What should the headings be?

• Think about how you may present your findings. A time series like chart? What would you have on your x-axis? Y-axis?

• Are you able to set something up on a spreadsheet?
