This is effectively how you connect the Amiga to a terminal console on your PC:

DIY Female DB25 to Female DB9 Null Modem Adapter

The adapter will have two functions:

  • Convert to Amiga Male DB25 serial port to a Female DB9 serial port

  • Wired up for Null Modem connections

You will need a Female DB25 connector and a Female DB9 connector.

You only need connect 3 wires:

  • Signal Ground (GND)

  • Transmit (TX)

  • Receive (RX)

The Transmit and and Receive needs to be crossed over.

The diagram below shows the pinouts and connections from the rear of the connectors.
