Usage

Based on abs v2.07.

abs is intended to be used in your startup-sequence to allow different selection choices to be make. Based on the selection, a script file for that selection will be executed.

abs will look for scripts and configuration files in the following directory:

S:AmigaBootSelector

When launched, abs will present 12 slots for selection.

The text of these selection will be blank by default. To edit the text of each selection, navigate to the selection entry and press SPACE bar.

You navigate between the selection slots using the mouse, joystick or cursor keys. To make a selection of the currently selection on you press the LMB, or joystick FIRE button or ENTER key, or it will be automatically selected when the timer runs out. The timer will be paused when you any of the navigation options.

Each of these selection entries will correspond to 12 text files in S:AmigaBootSelector, named from 01 to 12.

These are text script files that you want to execute when you select that entry. Edit these text script files to your requirements. Keep them blank if you do not want to do anything when that entry is selected.

When a selection made, abs will exit and will copy the selected text script file to a file called Boot.ABS.

abs will NOT execute Boot.ABS for you. You need to execute Boot.ABS in the startup-script. So the abs part of your startup-script should look something like:

; Launch abs first:

abs

; On exit, abs will copy the selected script (one of 01 to 12) to Boot.ABS

; Then execute Boot.ABS

Execute s:AmigaBootSelector/Boot.ABS
