Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Although there we many leprechaun trap attempts by our students today, we had no luck in catching that sneaky leprechaun! It has been a great week at Falls-Lenox and our staff is lucky every day to have the opportunity to spend time with your children! We also appreciate everything that our families do to work in partnership with us.
Next week is College and Career Awareness Week at Falls-Lenox. March 20-24th, 2023. The goal of our College and Career Week is to help students make connections between skills learned at school and skills needed in jobs and careers and to also expose them to a variety of career choices.
Below is the list of activities for the week:
Monday: Staff put the name of their college on a paper pennant and hang around or on the classroom door.
Tuesday: (optional) Your favorite stuffed animal travels with a parent to work and completes the sheet (attached below) about their day. Students then bring the completed sheet to school to share with their class on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Students dress in college gear or school colors of where they want to go to college or trade school. They will also be given the option to make a pennant with the name of where they may want to go to college.
Thursday: Teachers and staff will wear clothes that indicate what they wanted to be when they grew up when they were little and students can dress up indicating what they want to be as well.
Friday: Career day for our third graders!
We are looking for parents of third grade students who would like to participate in our Third Grade Career Day on Friday, March 24th. If you are interested in being a part of this day, please complete the link below. This event is for the third grade class only.
We are also hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday evening from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m in the Falls Gym. Your child brought home the flier this week with directions for how to donate. Thank you in advance for helping to support this cause.
If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400. Thank you to all of our families for all of your support and for a great week!

Olmsted Works Community Job Fair ~ April 4, 2023
Mark your calendar! The second annual "OLMSTED WORK$!" Community Job Fair is on April 4, 2023. This event will take place at OFHS in the main gym and we hope you might be able to help us spread the word to your family, friends and neighbors! The fair is open to both OFHS students and community members from 2:45 PM - 4:15 PM on April 4th. The list of employers scheduled to attend is growing by the day, with full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities available. Last years’ fair hosted over 70 area employers.
This fair is a great opportunity for students to practice their interview skills, and to get comfortable asking and answering questions of potential employers. There is no experience required to attend the fair and to see what job opportunities exist in the community for the summer- and beyond! The "OLMSTED WORK$!" Community Job Fair is also a great place for local community members to connect with local employers and explore job opportunities.
This event is FREE and is hosted by the Olmsted Falls High School Guidance Department for the benefit of OFHS students, families, and our community!
Do you know an area business who would like to participate? Share our registration link
Anyone with questions about the fair may contact Mrs. Caldrone acaldrone@ofcs.net or Mr. Rivera crivera@ofcs.net in OFHS Guidance.
