December 2, 2022
Dear Falls-Lenox Families,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We enjoyed seeing our second graders perform their first music concert this week. They did an outstanding job! Our new word of the month for December is 'Empathy'. This links to our school rule, "Be Kind", as in order to be kind, we must be empathetic and respectful to others. This is also the time of year that we teach our students about the importance of giving to others. From December 5th - 16th, Terrific Kids is sponsoring a sock collection for local homeless shelters. At the December morning Terrific Kids meeting, students will package adult socks with notes that spread the joy and kindness of the season! Also, in partnership with PTA, we are also collecting hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for children in our community. Donations are placed on our hat and mitten tree in the main lobby.
Silver Linings Day will take place next week for second and third grade classes on December, 5th, 6th, or 7th. Please see the link below for the schedule.
As we continue with our theme of the year, "All Are Welcome", and to learn more about our students, we invite our families to share about your culture and or a special tradition your family celebrates. Please see a letter attached below for more information about how you can help our school and students learn more about each other!
We are having a Falls-Lenox Ryco Spirit Wear sale. This is building fundraiser and proceeds will go to Falls-Lenox Primary School. The link to purchase spirit wear from Ryco can be found below or linked HERE.
We will be having a Winter Spirit Week the week of December 12th! Please see the flier below for the schedule!
I encourage you to check out the "Community Connections" section of this newsletter located on the left side of the page. It is updated regularly with community fliers. If at any time you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact our main office at (440) 427-6400. Thank you to all of our families for all of your support and for a great week!
Please scroll down to see some pictures from the week!
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa M. Williams
