Before Class

Fun fact.

C.J. Picerni (SPS '17) was the first NYU baseball player selected in the MLB draft in 40 years. Kevin McNichol was the last player out of NYU to be drafted by an MLB team. The Yankees selected McNichol in 1974.

Pre-Class Communication

Email students (several days) before class and list the materials:

  • they were asked to prepare/complete ahead of class (e.g., urls they were asked to locate, problems they were asked to solve, questions they were asked to write and/or readings they were asked to complete).

  • they are being asked to bring to class (e.g., urls, problems, questions, readings).

Red circle alert reading keep in mind.

Engaging students in a pre-class activity can increase their interest and engagement in the class.
