Logging Into Zoom
Accessing
There are two primary ways for instructors and students to access NYU Zoom: through NYU Classes, or via the NYU Zoom portal at nyu.zoom.us.
Important: Prior to logging into Zoom for the first time, it is required that all faculty and students download the Zoom Client (PC or Mac) or Zoom App (iOS or Android) from the Zoom Download Center.
Note: A client is essentially the Zoom application that is hosted on your computer. It is essential for conducting breakout rooms and polling.
NYU has admitted the most diverse undergraduate (2023) class in history, with African American students representing 12 percent and Latinx students representing 22 percent of those accepted. At NYU overall, no one ethnic group makes up more than 22 percent of the total number of students admitted to the class of 2023.

NYU Classes
The first and the preferred way to access Zoom for class sessions is through NYU Classes. You can do so by logging into NYU Classes here: https://newclasses.nyu.edu
Login using the same credentials (netID and password) as your NYU Home or e-mail account.
NYU.Zoom.us
The second and preferred method for scheduling non-class related meetings is to access Zoom through the NYU Zoom portal at http://nyu.zoom.us/
Login using the same credentials (netID and password) as your NYU Home or e-mail account.
It is critically important that you do not share your personal meeting room link. Always schedule sessions through NYU Classes or nyu.zoom.us.
