Sheridan’s Baseball Outlook
By Jacob Haven Harlow, on Tuesday March 4
Baseball season is coming up, and with that, I have information to share about it. First off, the players are very confident that they’re going to have a very good season. For example, player Cole Cashdollar thinks they’ll “definitely win the MVL Title.”
Some games that we should all be looking forward to, according to Cole Cashdollar, are Tri-Valley and New Lexington. Obviously with those two being better teams, we should make sure to be there in support of our guys. Another game that we should look out for is Dime-a-Dog night, where the concession stand provides hot dogs at a low, low price! Make sure to be there and support!
I have also heard that the JV team needs a coach, so if you know someone who would be, or if you are interested in it, talk to Coach Doug Fisher about the position.
Talking to Jaxon Tyo, a junior varsity player, I have learned that the JV guys still want to play, and without a coach, they could be missing out on half of, or maybe even their whole season! So it’s important that they get someone hired.
I have also gotten a look at the practice rosters, some varsity players will include Shawn Griffey, Gage Toothman, Brody White, Cole Cashdollar, Noah Wamer, and many more. JV will include Ryder Lovejoy, TJ Connors, Jaxon Tyo, Hoyt Gore, Tandon Gramlich and some more. So I am not entirely sure all of these players will be on each of these teams, but that is where they currently are.
With many promising talents and high spirits, we’re all getting excited to see what the Sheridan Generals baseball team is going to accomplish this year. If you want to show your support, you can find the game schedule on the school’s web page! Go Generals!
