Faith Wiseman Commits to IU

Gracie Werden

On Oct. 9, Faith Wiseman (junior) verbally committed to Indiana University to play basketball. Wiseman visited the college in July and just a few months later decided that she wanted to continue her basketball career there after high school.

Wiseman has been on the varsity basketball team since her freshman year, and despite only being a junior, she has received 22 offers from schools including Villanova, Purdue, Iowa, and Penn State. Wiseman has set the school record with 24 rebounds.

The Lady Braves—who are two time back-to-back sectional champions—are excited for their upcoming season and hoping to earn a third title. The team is undefeated so far this year, most recently having beat Sullivan high school 58-36.

Hardwork and determination in practice and games are needed to go far in the season, and the players and coaches are excited to watch the growth of every single player throughout the season. If you’d like to come out this season to support your Lady Braves, be there and be loud! Their next game is Friday, Dec. 2 at Owen Valley Community High School.
