On November 23, 2021, the Indian Creek High School boys’ basketball team played against Franklin Community High School. I got the opportunity to speak to two of the JV basketball players, Caleb Yunt and Brady Connel, and ask them why they play basketball. Caleb Yunt said, “It helps me get closer with my friends, and I have been playing since I was little.” He has always liked competing and trying to help the team win. When asked if there was anything they wished they could do over, Brady wished they played more as a team and would’ve played smarter. Caleb Yunt says, “We could’ve taken smarter shots and made more rebounds.” The final score of the JV game was 64-38 in Franklin’s favor.
