October Student Submissions
We do not negotiate with terrorists
After the release of our September issue, we received the following email from Lukas H.
Good evening. I have submitted a beautiful photo called “Meat Man.” It was not featured in the [September] paper… You don’t know my face, and I don’t know yours, but you have started a war you cannot finish. I WILL SUBMIT A CREATION THAT WILL BE FEATURED. It will be truly great and profound. YOU WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO FEATURE MY ART. So till I’m featured, I will not stop sending in my creations. You have been warned.
Sincerely, your new enemy, Lukas H.
First, we would like to thank you for the submission you appended to your email. “Fried” is quite lovely, and just like “Meat Man,” it will be featured on our website under the Student Submissions tab.
Second, we would like to address the content of your email. We regret to inform you that we are “disinclined to acquiesce to your request” as Hector Barbosa would say. Simply put, “it means no.” We have a firm policy of not negotiating with terrorists. We look forward to your future submissions.
Yours truly,
Your new nemesis
