Week ending Friday 8th March 2024

Dear Families,

We have had another busy and successful week in Reception! Our curious question this week was, 'How can we save water?' The children showed a lot of responsibility, by suggesting things that we could do to not waste water. We also looked at how we could raise awareness about saving water and made some eye catching posters in our writing lessons. The children also finished decorating their clay pots, which we will be selling at a fundraiser in May (more information to come!).

We also enjoyed our maths lessons this week - we learned all about doubling numbers within 5 and we are getting much better at recalling doubling facts automatically.

Next Wednesday (13/3) we have our Come Dine with Me and we will also be hosting a physical development parent workshop on Thursday at 3.30pm. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of the team.

Have a lovely and (hopefully) sunny weekend!

Best Wishes,

The Reception team.
