Week ending Friday 7th June

Dear Families,

Welcome back! We can't believe it is the last half term already. The children have come back from half term eager to learn and excited to continue our Let's Create topic. The children spent the week collaborating with their partners to plan and build their own models. It was fantastic seeing the children using their imaginations and working together. We had everything from aeroplanes and cars to robots and houses! It was fantastic to see the children so proud of their teamwork. In their writing, the children were able to describe their models and talk about the materials they have used.

In maths, we have been consolidating the child's knowledge of addition within 10. We were using pictures and part part wholes to solve different addition equations. It was amazing to see the children confidently identifying the parts and easily counting altogether to find the whole.

A friendly reminder that we have our Sports Day on Tuesday 18th June. We will be walking to Clissold Park at 9.15am and the events will start around 9.30. Please return your sports day form so that we know who will be joining us and who needs a packed lunch.

Best Wishes,

The Reception team.
