Week ending Friday 6th October 2023

Dear Families,

This week we have started our new topic 'Colour'! The children have love reading 'The Colour Monster' and exploring their feelings. The children can confidently name many of their feelings and can match these to a colour. We have talked about things that make them feel certain emotions and how we can tell if someone is feeling sad. Additionally it has been amazing to see how the children have been showing kindness to one another this week, helping each other in the classroom and on the playground. In maths this week we were concentrating on the number 5 and we have learned even more sounds in phonics!

Next week we will be hosting our first 'Come Learn with Me' on Thursday (12/10) from 9.00 - 9.45am. This is an opportunity to join your child in the hall to complete a creative activity. Please speak to a member of staff if you have any questions.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Activities to try at home this weekend

Try out one or both of these activities with your child this weekend. Please send us any photos you take or bring your child's learning into school - we'd love the see them!

Create your own Colour Monster

Use come collage materials to create your own colour monster. What colours have you used? How does your colour monster feel?

How are you feeling?

Can you take some time to sit down with your child and talk about how they are feeling? How has their day been and what made them feel that way?
