The people who represented Beta at the Spring Fling were Tegan Ivey, Gerniya Smith, Amber Wells, Nabrea PowellNakea Powell, Za’carriah Parker, Marly Lopez, and Monica Kaiser. All students who participated had a great time and look forward to future events with Senior Beta.
The ASL students at NECP did an incredible job recently by signing books for the younger children. The upper grade students were allowed to select the book they wanted to read to the children. After much practice signing them, the ASL students headed over to the elementary school to sign the book to the children. The teachers and children were thrilled by this activity and saw it as an excellent way to spread awareness about ASL. The teachers were so impressed that they expressed interest in having the ASL students come back to sign more books for the children in the future.
The Bible Club is completing this school year’s study with the book of Revelation. They have been discussing the Scroll and Seven Seals of God. In Revelation 5:1, Revelation 5:1 KJV: And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. The prophet Ezekiel gives us background on this because the Lord gave a scroll to Ezekiel with the oracles that he was to proclaim.
The Bible Club is still meeting every Wednesday until the end of the school year and will begin again next school year. Snacks provided.
