Dr. Cockrell Updates
In this month's interview, the barn and more updates were talked about. The first topic was the barn, as everyone has seen the barn now has a sign at the front. The sign is named after one of the organizations that donated money to build the barn. The one on the sign and barn is Farm Bureau, they made a 70,000 dollar donation. The Rotary Club made a 50,000 dollar donation. The barn is almost complete, the greenhouse and the rest of the fence are the last finishing designs. The animals the barn will have to start include two sheep, two goats, and a donkey. The students will be in charge of taking care of the animals. The next topic was sports. All spring sports have started, and this year will be the school's first year with a track team. Winter sports have recently finished. In swimming two students qualified for states and in wrestling five students qualified for states. Wrestling had two state champions this year. The next topic is the cafeteria and sports complex. The building plans are mapped out and all that's left to do before production is finalizing. Some upcoming events include Spring Fling, Prom, and Husky Fest. School enrollment has opened.
