ABSTRACT
CANARI is one of the NERC Multi-Centre Science Programmes led by NCAS. It aims to advance understanding of the impacts on the UK arising from climate variability and change in the Arctic-North Atlantic region. In this seminar I’ll outline some of the work going on in CANARI – which is now starting its third year of five – and then describe the CANARI Large Ensemble, a major modelling activity being undertaken within NCAS to produce the UK’s first ‘large ensemble’ of climate simulations with the N216 ORCA025 coupled model.
