Creating a Volleyball Club

The goal of this project was to create a casual after-school activity that our community could bond over and have fun participating in. It serves anyone at the school who wants to participate, and it is a fun way to help in maintaining an individual’s physical and mental health. The hope is that this club will contribute a sense of support and teamwork to our community.

'20 Creating a Volleyball Club

    • I started this sport-club when I realized there was no organization at the school for volleyball.

    • I spoke to Ms. Perrotta, Mr. Taus, Mr. McCarthy, Ms. Chauven, Mr. Joyce, Mr. Warren, Mr. Roesler, and Mr. Jakusik to set up the basics for the club

    • I did the club paperwork and confirmed access to the gym during spring.

    • I spoke on the Grapevine about my club.

    • I gained members by putting out a sign up sheet.

    • I started advertising for the volleyball tournament that’ll be before Feb. break. I will hopefully gain more members and funds for volleyball shirts/merch.

    • The RJO is letting my sign up sheet remain outside their door.

    • Mr. Baer is planning on taking pictures at the tournament for the yearbook.
