The Montgomery Township School District's Theater Program prides itself in creating safe spaces for all students to be creative, learn about their expressive selves, grow in their connection with others, and share their impression of the world and how they fit into it through the performing arts. Our theater program explores many different styles, genres and aspects of theater. Our classes and productions are a place where all areas of the arts come together through acting, music, dance, art, design, and more. Whether performing a full professional production, improvising a scene, writing a script, designing lighting cues, learning to direct, or more, there is a place for every student in our theater arts program. We are very fortunate to have a vibrant theater community with a place for every student. Our theater program is divided into two main components. Please click below to learn more about each one. We hope to see you at one of our productions!
Beginning at UMS in the 7th grade, our students have the opportunity to take a number of different fantastic theater electives. Please click here for more information.
Beginning in the 5th grade, students have the opportunity to audition for full scale theater productions with rehearsals taking place after school hours. Productions happen each year at LMS, UMS, and MHS. Please click here for more information.
