Beginning at the youngest ages in our general music program, all students perform in grade-level vocal music concerts each year. When students reach 4th grade, while they continue to have their general music education, they now also have the exciting opportunity to join a formal choral setting with our VES 4th Grade Chorus! All students are welcome and encouraged to participate. Here is some more information about the VES 4th Grade Chorus. We hope all 4th graders will join us!
Each year we have about 100 students in our 4th grade Chorus!
The 4th grade chorus meets in semesters from September through January, and then again from February through June. If a student is unable to join for the first half of the year, they are welcome to join for the second half.
Chorus rehearsals take place before school every Wednesday.
Music is a mixture of traditional, contemporary, and pop choral repertoire.
NJ Elementary School Honor Choir
Each year, our 4th grade students are encouraged to audition for the NJ Honor Choir. We are proud to have multiple students accepted on an annual basis. This is a testament to our strong students and teachers. It is wonderful to see Montgomery represented so strongly at the state level! For more information about the NJ Honor Choir and auditions, please contact Ms. Fabriczi.
