Books and Academic Resources
Classroom resources used to deliver Middletown High School's academic program are loaned to students free of charge as needed. These resources may include, but are not limited to laptops, tech devices, reading materials, and books. As is the case with all school owned items, loaned materials should be returned in good condition when called for by the classroom teacher or when exiting the district.
Reimbursement for damaged, lost, destroyed, or stolen materials is the responsibility of the student/family to whom the item was loaned. If a loaned item is unable to be returned, it is the responsibility of the student/family to pay to replace the damaged/lost/stolen item.
Lockers
Due to several variables including short passing periods and the increased use of digital/online resources, lockers are not routinely assigned to students at Middletown High School. However, if a student wishes to receive a locker, they may ask to be provided with one from their Advisory teacher at any point throughout the school year. Once forwarded over, the main office will then process these requests and provide the student with a locker outside of their Advisory space.
The following guidelines should remain of note regarding school lockers:
Students are allowed to use the lockers for the storage of books, jackets, loaned school resources, and personal belongings
School lockers remain the property of the school and may be searched at any time as deemed necessary by the school administration
Lockers should be kept locked at all times. It is the responsibility of the student to protect books, clothing, technology, and personal belongings
Broken/inoperable lockers should be reported to the Dean's office
Lockers may not be defaced. No stickers/tape should be placed either inside or outside a locker
At the close of the school year, each student will be responsible for emptying out their locker and returning it to the condition in which it was received
