Field Trips
As an ongoing condition of participation in overnight field trips students may undergo a Breathalyzer test at any time before entry or during the field trip. Persons found under the influence of alcohol will be denied entrance to the school event, their parents/guardian notified to take the home, and subject to school disciplinary policies.
To be eligible, Students must have passed 60% of the previous quarter’s course load. If a student has less than a 2.0 GPA, following the eligibility guidelines they will not be allowed to participate in any field trip. Academic eligibility applies to non-mandatory field trips. Field trips are an extension of the classroom; as such, you are expected to exhibit behaviors that are aligned with the school’s civic and social student learning expectations.
