8th grade

Welcome to my 8th grade year. My name is Gillian and this year is going pretty well. This year my teachers are Mr. Hilding, he is my homeroom teacher and my humanities teacher, then there is Mrs. Isaak, she teaches me science and advanced math, Mrs. Dunlop helps in humanities and she also teaches purpose learning, then finally, Mrs. Boone helps out in science class. A little bit about me is I like to play soccer, I have a pet cat and dog, I like painting my nails and doing peoples hair, and much more. My overall goal for this year is to be more confident. Over the past few years this has been my goal but I haven't really accomplished it. Though this year I really have been pushing myself to open up and be more confident. This means talking to people I don't really know and being brave to talk in front of people. I think My goal is going pretty well but I still have a lot more to accomplish.

My grade level lens is IMPACT. Impact is like the footprints you leave behind in the sand because everywhere you go you leave impacts on people. These Impacts can be good or bad.

In class we made resumes for our internships that we are doing in March. I talked about my experiences, my skills, activities i do, and project that relate to where I want to intern. My top choices for this is the humane society, 81301, and alpine animal hospital. I made resumes for a couple places, Alpine animal hospital, the humane society, and summit fitness.
