Printing Press

We went on a field trip and we got to see a very old printing press that still works to this day.

Making Paper

We got to make our own paper in class and we got to print things on them with the printing press.

Story telling

In class we are learning about story telling.

Migration stories

In the Migration story unit we have and many guest speakers come in and talk about their migration to the U.S. They talked about how life is a lot harder and different outside of here. It was very interesting to hear their different perspectives and how their lives have changes

Interviewing my Grandma

When we learned about migration stories we had to interview someone in our family. I chose to interview my grandma. She talked about her Migration from New Jersey to Virginia. I learned many new things about her that I never knew. To the left is our conversation.

We had to choose something to make for our exhibition. I made a paper that gave facts about different things they traded and then I made the trade goods out of clay.
