Packing supplies to bring in for labor and birth:
• Food and drinks. The center stocks ginger ale, juices, eggs, English muffins, crackers, peanut butter and jelly. There is a refrigerator and freezer to keep any food you bring. The hospital does not have these accommodations, so be creative when packing food.
• Laboring clothes - comfort is key
• Robe, slippers and socks
• Comfortable clothes for mom to wear home
• Swim suit/trunks for partner (in case mom wants company in the shower/Jacuzzi)
• Toiletries-toothbrush/paste, shampoo, hair bands, hair brush, soap
• Camera/phone and don’t forget the charger
• Music/bluetooth speaker
• Change of clothing for partner
• battery operated candles, flowers, photos for focal point, massage tools and oils
• Insurance card/numbers and any specific instructions
• Car seat for infant, which has been installed prior to coming to the center
• Clothes for the baby to wear home, including hat, 2-3 blankets, weather dependent
• Please do not bring any medications, tinctures or homeopathic treatments unless you have discussed these with the midwives.
