Weekly Update 9/5/25
We have wrapped up our first week of school. The students have been great and we all appreciate the updates the that District has provided for our middle school. A few pictures of the new murals are shown below.
With this project, we also replaced all the student lockers. While they look great, there was a delay in getting the combinations into eSchool. It was a mad dash in the main office over the holiday weekend and Tuesday morning, but we were able to get all the students into their lockers. A special thank you to Mrs. Liska who worked over Labor Day weekend to get all the lockers assigned to students.
We spent some time with each grade level discussing our expectations and what resources are available to them. The Slides presentation is available on students' grade level Google Classroom and using the link below.

We are going to continue our fire/evacuation drills next week, as well as conducting a lockdown drill on Wednesday. These drills are required by the state of New York and are designed to train students on how to react in different types of emergencies. We given students advanced notice so that they are no alarmed.
Next Friday, we will be raising awareness for suicide prevention. Please see the flyer below for more information.
Open house for 7th and 8th grade will be held on Thursday, September 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm. More information will be sent home in the days leading up to the event. Sixth grade teachers will not be available on this night, as they were here and gave out information during the 6th grade orientation. If you missed it, the Slides presentation is below.
