Did you know that missing as few as 2 days of school each month in middle school reduces a student's chances of graduating by 50%?
Missing just 2 days of school each month equates to a month of missed instruction per year and almost a year and half of missed instruction over a student's educational career.
We have created various incentives to help improve student attendance, such as awards & recognition, access to the Maryvale Activity Center (MAC), clubs, intramurals, athletics and even the opportunity to be exempt from certain final exams. However, we need parents help also. We have to work together to ensure that our students are coming to school every day and arriving on time.
With that said, there are times that we do NOT want you to send your child to come to school. For example, if they have a fever, have thrown up in the past 24 hours or have runny stool.

21st Century Program/YWCA
We are pleased to announce Maryvale Intermediate and Middle Schools are partnering with YWCA Western New York to provide an extended learning program through the US Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center (21stCCLC) grant.
The program is provided free of charge to all families. The program will operate Monday through Thursday, from 2:15pm to 5:45pm for Middle School students. More information and the registration link can be found below or by clicking here.
