Weekly Update 3/23/26
Safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance. In order to help prepare students for a crisis, NYS requires us to conduct four lockdown drills per year. Our third drill will take place Tuesday, March 23rd and will last about 20 minutes. If you are attempting to drop off or pick up your child during this time, please be patient until we conclude the drill.
We held a Career Day on Friday. We had 28 professionals from various professions present to small groups of students. Students were surveyed about their interests and were scheduled by their interests. This day was a huge success and we greatly appreciate the presenters who took time away from their jobs and families to spend time with our students.
Next week Tuesday, March 31st is our Cultural Day. Students will be presenting and learning about all the different cultures represented in Maryvale Middle School. Students have been working with a team of teachers to organize this event. There is a spirit week leading up to the event, which is posted below.
Tuesday - Pop Culture Day
Wednesday - Flag Colors Day
Thursday - World Sports Day
Friday - Local Culture Day
