Weekly Update 11/7/25

First Marking Period is Coming to an End

The first marking period comes to an end on Friday, 11/7.  Report cards will be available on the afternoon of Wednesday, 11/12.  Please be sure to login to your Parent or Student Portal to check your student's progress.

Veteran's Day

On Tuesday, November 11th we will not have school in honor of all those who have service in our armed forces.  A special thank you to our very own Mr. Geiman and Mr. Sherk for their service in the United States Marines.

Get Involved

Our PTO helps fund our field trips, carnival, Moving Up Day Ceremony and other events throughout the year.  We understand that many parents cannot make a large commitment, but you don't need to.  There are many ways that you can help, without making a large commitment.  For example, chaperoning a dance/activity night, donating food or prizes for various events or making monetary donations can help our PTO serve our school and students.

To find out more, come to our Coffee Talk on Wednesday, November 19th.  We will also have a virtual link if you are unable to get to the school in person.  You can connect with other parents, share experiences and learn about opportunities to get involved and make a difference at our school.  Click here or see the flyer below for more information.

MS Spotlight

Our homerooms did a great job decorating their pumpkins.  Students voted on their favorite pumpkin on Friday, choosing Mrs. Kubiak's pumpkin burger as the winner.  See the pictures of the pumpkins below.

This past week three of the four Cheektowaga schools came together for some extramural volleyball. This stemmed from our meeting from late spring. The four athletic directors worked together to organize this event. In addition, each respective school middle school staff organized individual intramural programs prior to this event. Maryvale hosted the first culminating event. We had a total of approximately 60 kids from Maryvale, Cleveland Hill and JFK among the staff members in attendance.

Congratulations to our Maryvale teams for taking the championship!

Thank to Mr. Keller, Mr. Klimtzak, Mr. D'Angelo and the Board of Education for supporting this intramural program and all the other programs in which our students participate.

Fall Activity Night

In order to ensure our students and their families can participate in Beggars' Night, we are moving our first activity night to November 14thOur Student Council is working on a new theme and activities for this event.
