Weekly Update 1/5/26
Before break, our music students performed a concert for our school. We then played Grinch Ball with Blue Bridges (from the Cheektowaga Police Department) and our 8th graders created some amazing looking (and tasting) cupcakes. Check out the pictures of all these activities below.
Over break, all of the locks on our new lockers were replaced due to a faulty mechanism in the previously installed locks. Unfortunately, this means that all the combinations also had to be changed. Upon entering this morning, students were provided their new combinations and eSchool has been updated with the new combinations as well. While this was a major inconvenience to both our staff and students, the students handled it well and we are hopeful that we will have less issues with locks malfunctioning. We appreciate the resilience of our students in how they handled this situation.
There is a half day of Friday, January 9th. We are planning fun activities centered around social-emotional learning, mental health and physical activity. Students will then be dismissed at 10:30 am.
MS PTO meeting will be January 14th, at 6 PM in the library.
Our next dance will be on Friday, January 16 from 6-8 pm. More details will be sent out later this week.

Attention 8th grade parents. We are looking for your child's baby picture for this year's yearbook. Please email your child's picture with their name to msyearbook@maryvaleufsd.org.

21st Century Program/YWCA
We are pleased to announce Maryvale Intermediate and Middle Schools are partnering with YWCA Western New York to provide an extended learning program through the US Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant.
The program is provided free of charge to all families. The program will operate Monday through Thursday, from 2:15pm to 5:45pm for Middle School students. More information and the registration link can be found below or by clicking here.
