Mrs. Aumer and Miss Dong worked with a group of students to compete in the New York Statewide Mathematics Tournament recently. One of our 6th grade teams won the regional qualifiers and will be heading to Empire State Plaza Convention Center to compete for the NYS championship.
Congratulations to Eloise Chudoba, Harley Angelli and Dominic Vitale for their hard work and recognition.

TIES Program
Are you looking for ways to help your student explore their interests and community?
Starbridge’s TIES (Together Including Every Student) program supports students with developmental disabilities in taking part in the activities they choose, including clubs, sports, community programs, and more.
With the help of peer volunteers, students gain confidence, build friendships, explore interests, and feel truly included in their school and community. TIES creates more than access, it creates belonging.
Together, we can open more doors to participation and possibility.

End of Year Announcements
We are in the last push of the year. Teachers are beginning to review for exams, as they continue to cover new material. While this time of year can build anxiety in both students and educators, we also have many fun events planned for the end of the year. Below is a list of some of the important field trips and events.
June 1st - PTO Induction Social
June 3rd - MS Music Concerts
June 5th - 6th Grade Field Trips
June 10th - Student of the Month Dessert Reception - 6:30 pm in the MS Cafe
June 12th - NJHS Induction (Note the date change)
June 12th - 8th Grade Dance - 6-8 pm in the MS Cafe
June 16th - Carnival, Last Full Attendance Day
June 17-24 - MS Final Exams
June 25th - 8th Grade Moving Up Day
We want to ensure that students are able to participate in our field trips and other events in a safe manner. Many of these events are also seen as a reward for their progress this past year. As such, participation in such events could be jeopardized by behavior, attendance and academics.

21st Century Program/YWCA
We are pleased to announce Maryvale Intermediate and Middle Schools are partnering with YWCA Western New York to provide an extended learning program through the US Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant.
The program is provided free of charge to all families. The program will operate Monday through Thursday, from 2:15pm to 5:45pm for Middle School students. More information and the registration link can be found below or by clicking here.
