Weekly Update - 10/20/23

Mrs. Brown and WNY United are raising awareness about living a drug free life.  As part of that awareness, we are having a spirit week which is outlined below.  Also, we will have our Red Ribbon Rally on Thursday, October 26th.

RED RIBBON Spirit Week

Be Kind to your Mind- Live Drug Free

Monday- [10/23] –WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER- SCHOOL SPIRIT  (Wear Maryvale colors or gear)

Tuesday- [10/24] –    PEACE OUT TO DRUGS-      TIE DYE DAY  (Wear your TIE DYE and/or colorful clothes, makeup, etc.)

Wednesday- [10/25] - TAKE A STAND AGAINST DRUGS- #ALLRED   (Mr. D’Angelo has made it a Wear Red District Day and a casual day)

Thursday-[10/26] - DON’T LET DRUGS RUIN YOUR DREAMS - PAJAMA DAY  (Wear appropriate PJ’s)

Friday-  [10/27] - TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS -   JERSEY DAY  (Wear your favorite TEAM’s GEAR)

We will be conducting an emergency evacuation drill on Wednesday, 10/25 in the morning.   The purpose of this drill is for students to practice exiting the building and going to another building where we can take attendance and give further directions.  During the drill, students will walk to the high school's Performing Arts Center and sit with their homerooms.  Once all our student are accounted for, we will go back to the middle school and resume our regular schedule.  We expect the drill to take about 15 minutes.  

Clubs and intramurals are in full swing.  Below is a list of the clubs that are running and the teachers who will be running them.  Please check the Flyer News or ask the club advisor for meeting times and locations.

The MS PTO online spirit wear sale is live. The items for sale are already in stock. Orders will be pulled once a week and given to your child’s teacher. Sizing is limited to what we have in stock.  Click this link below to begin shopping.
