Weekly Update - 2/2/24

We are officially half way through the school year.  Many students have received new schedules for the second semester and report cards are available on the Parent and Student Portals.  This is a great time to review your student's progress with them and set goals for the next 5-10 weeks.

We will be recognizing our students who achieved the merit, honor and high honor roll this past marking period.  We will also recognize students who demonstrated significant improvement or considerable effort through a teacher nomination process.  All of these students will have their names posted on the bulletin board in the main foyer and will receive a certificate in their homerooms.

Our dance that was supposed be held in January has been rescheduled to Friday, February 9th from 6-8 pm.

Student & Parent Engagement Night (formerly known as SPIN) - February 15th, 2024.  

This free event is geared toward fun family activities, fun activities for students and informational sessions for parents.  There is something for everyone.  We will provide food, childcare and raffle off air pods, gift certificates and other great prizes.  Registration information will be coming out in the next couple of weeks.

Yearbook 

8th graders are being asked to submit baby pictures for the yearbook.   You can also order your yearbook today!  See the flyers below for more information.

Athletics - Sports Booster Meat Raffle on Friday, February 2nd.  See the flyer below.

Our athletic teams are supported in part by the great parents, alumni and community members through the Maryvale Community Sports Boosters.  Please help support our athletic programs by attending our annual meat raffle on Friday, February 2.   See the flyer below for more details.

All middle school students must be accompanied by an adult at all athletic events.  The adult must stay with their child for the duration of the event.
