Student & Parent Engagement Night (aka SPIN) Survey

We are in the planning phase for our annual Student & Parent Engagement Night.  Please complete the survey below so that we can plan the night activities that are of interest to students and parents.

Concerts

Our 6th grade concert for chorus, orchestra and band will take place on Tuesday, December 19th at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center.  Our students are sounding wonderful and are sure to brighten your spirit!

Our ensembles will also be performing for the entire middle school on Friday, December 22nd.  We will cap the day off with Grinch Ball, where our students will take on officers from Cheektowaga Police Department's Blue Bridges.  This is always a good time and allows our students to connect with police officers in a friendly and fun manner.

A Retirement & A New Face

Mrs. Phillips will be retiring on January 5th.  She has spent over 20 years in Maryvale Middle School and has worked with multiple generations of our families.  We wish her the best in her retirement and safe travels as she officially becomes a snow bird.

While replacing Mrs. Phillips will not be easy, a diverse committee has selected Ms. Vanessa Patterson-Bancroft as our new middle school assistant principal.  Ms. Patterson-Bancroft is coming to us from Lockport, where she is a social worker.  Her experience working with students and families will be a great asset to our school and programing.  She will be starting on December 28th and will work with Mrs. Phillips to ensure a smooth transition.

Clubs and intramurals are in full swing.  Below is a list of the clubs that are running and the teachers who will be running them.  Please check the Flyer News or ask the club advisor for meeting times and locations.
