Weekly Update - 1/19/24

Winter weather has finally hit us.  After having only one day of school this past week, it feels like another long break.  With the cold weather and snow, please make sure your children are dressed appropriately and that sidewalks in front of your homes are shoveled.

Our dance that was supposed be held on Friday will be rescheduled in the coming weeks.  More information to come.

The first half of the year is coming to an end as grades close on Friday, January 26th.  Check Parent or Student Portal to make sure assignments are turned in and graded.  Teachers are generally available to help students after school from 2:15-2:45.  We also have late buses to take students home if they choose to stay after school with a teacher.

Students will be engaging in a computer-cased testing simulation on Thursday, January 25th.  This will only take one class period and is designed to ensure that all students are able to log into the NYS Assessment platform, know how to use the tools and become familiar with the layout prior to the actual assessments.  Question results and achievement data are NOT collected.  The NYS Assessments will be conducted in the later half of April and early May.  More information will be provided after spring break.

We will not have classes on Monday, January 29th and new schedules will be ready for most students on Tuesday, January 30th.

Save the Date: Student & Parent Engagement Night (formerly known as SPIN) - February 15th, 2024

This free event is geared toward fun family activities, fun activities for students and informational sessions for parents.  There is something for everyone.  We will provide food, childcare and raffle off air pods, gift certificates and other great prizes.  Registration information will be coming out in the next couple of weeks.
