Cave Drawings

K classes listened to the read aloud, The Cave Painter of Lascaux, and learned about some of the first paintings to have been created. We looked at some real photographs of the caves, noticing what types of animals, shapes, and colors the artist's used. After which, students began their own cave draws of animals and hand prints. Some students chose to crinkle their paper to make their work seem as if it was displayed on a cave wall.
