Monet inspired ponds and creatures

After reading, Katie and the Waterlily Pond: A Magical Journey Through Five Monet Masterpieces,by James Mayhew students created their own ponds, lily pads, and pond creatures. Using a piece of watercolor paper students cut their ponds and painted their multicolored water. Next can the lily pads made of construction paper and tissue paper. Finally students created three dimensional pond creatures out of sculpey clay and clay tools.
