In second grade we studied the work of glass blower, Dale Chihuly. Using coffee filters and markers students decorated their "glass" with any type of design. Using fabric starch we sprayed the filters around cups and let them dry to help combine their colors, and give the pieces this glass-like effect. Students loved creating these beautiful sculptures!
