Fauvist Places

Second grade students created fauvist dream houses with crayons and collage elements. We discussed fauvists artists such as Henri Matisse, and why they were considered to be radical for their time period. Students were then asked to create their own dream house in any way they wanted as long as they had a door, windows, and a roof. They colored in their work with the brightest colored crayons they could find.
